PROFILE
Motivated, independent and enthusiastic curator and cultural manager with experience in project coordination and artist development. As a curator, researcher and writer-editor-translator, my skill set includes planning and organization, intercultural communication, cultural analysis and research, and everything to do with text. I am seeking a new professional challenge in a cultural organization with a dynamic work environment with plenty of opportunities to learn and initiate my own ideas.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Curatorial Assistant
The Walking Tour Library Berlin | Mar 2019 – present

Co-founder
Independent Curators Lab & Network Berlin | May 2018 – present
– founded a platform for independent curators in the city, answering to a widespread need among art world professionals for exchange and reflection
– secured a network of strong partnerships with curators and directors of art institutions and project spaces in Berlin as well as internationally
– organizing an ongoing programme of at least one public event per month

– developed a uniform yet unique style and discourse for the platform
– continuously improving all texts on the website to fit the CityToolBox language

– successfully initiated a new cultural project in the historic district of Berlin, with at least one public event per month
– reached a large new audience for an existing venue through online and offline PR

Initiator ART as/is SOCIAL: On engagement in contemporary cultural theory & practice

– successfully implemented a new public programme in an existing art institution, organizing a discussion group every two weeks
– hosted over 200 participants over the course of the project, reaching a new audience for the venue
– presented research results in a self-published zine that was distributed among a wide network and at a renowned art book store in Berlin

Residency Intern

– developed a new collaborative-discursive format for the artists-in-residence
– wrote the institution’s current mission statement and conceptual framework
– transformed the entire organizational structure of the residency department to be more efficient
